Walk along Andrassy Avenue and pass by the State Opera, the beautiful neo-Renaissance opera house built in 1875. Then drive to Budapest's most visited attraction, Heroes’ Square, to see the Millennial Monument that commemorates Hungary's 1000 years, as well as the City Park behind.
Downton, you will visit St. Stephen’s Basilica. Named after the first king of Hungary, the basilica was constructed from 1851-1891 and is the largest in Budapest. Then, passing by the Parliament Building you will walk along Danube embankment and cross over Margaret Bridge, past Margaret Island.
Reaching the Buda side, you will proceed to the Castle District, the historic heart of Budapest, with the Matthias Church and the Fishermen’s Bastion, one of the best vantage points in Budapest. Perhaps stop for a coffee or simply relax and enjoy the view.
